Many moons ago, I was privileged enough to receive a scholarship to attend university. This scheme is still running and giving a much needed helping hand to young engineers wanting to go to university. At the time I thought the money was the main benefit – but actually, becoming a part of a very impressive and far reaching network of “Whitworths” that has been transformational in my career.

Calling all rising stars in the engineering world! The Whitworth Scholarships support those planning to embark on, or already on, an undergraduate degree level programme with up to £9,000 or postgraduate research with up to £15,000 per year.
As a previous award holder, I would encourage you to apply because it’s not just about the financial support but also the amazing network of talented Scholars sharing their experience from every sector imaginable (including engineering!)
